Tri-Valley Region: Short Term Rentals & More
As in other areas of California, the Tri-Valley Region can be a challenge for the out of town traveler to find short term rentals and temporary housing. Let the experts at Key Housing assist with your search.
Nestled in a triangle shaped area just east of the San Francisco Bay Area and west of the California Central Valley is the Tri Valley Region. It is primarily comprised of the cities like:
- San Ramon
- Pleasanton
- Livermore
- Danville
Although a major bedroom community for San Francisco and the Silicon Valley, this region hosts many large employers such as Chevron, AT&T, Bank of the West, Safeway, Ross Stores and Lawrence Livermore Laboratory.
Convenient access to the whole Bay Area is provided by excellent freeways, the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), and bus and rail options. The BART trains travel under the San Franciso Bay via tunnels directly to the Financial District in San Francisco.
It is a fast growing and sought after area, as people move to escape the high cost of living and congestion of the West side of the San Francisco Bay.
Originally inhabited by the Ohlone American Indian peoples, the region fell under Spanish rule from the Mission San Jose located in nearby Fremont. After a brief Mexican administration the area became part of the United States in 1848 following the Mexican-American War.
