Fresno is a very large city in California in the San Joaquin Valley with a population that has grown exponentially over the years. From a population of 134,000 in 1960, the city went to 428,000 in 2000, and 20 years later in 2020 had grown to 542,000....
Folsom is a city situated 25 miles east of the state capital of California, Sacramento, and is as well-known for its prison as much as anything else. As of April 30th 2020 the prison housed 2,694 male occupants (130.4% of capacity!) and 276 women which at 68.5% of capacity provides a more comfortable space....
If you are in the music business, you will no doubt have heard of Bakersfield in Kern County in California. It’s the home of the Bakersfield Sound of country music which originated in the 1950’s and 60’s, and Buck Owens, Dwight Yoakam, and Merle Haggard were its best-known stars....
The Central Coast of California is INCREDIBLE. The coast is beautiful, and if you're lucky enough to be assigned here on a corporate gig you can do no better than San Luis Obispo. It has a beautiful setting on the beach and the population is just short of 50,000, so is not overcrowded....
If you are sent to San Diego on business by your company, you may not wish to stay in the city center, but somewhere that is quieter. One city that you might well consider is Poway. It is only a 25-minute drive from San Diego, so is perfect for a commute, and yet is out in the country....
